CPD in Wales will be based around the needs identified by Appraisal. The CPD Co-ordinators will liaise closely with the Appraisal Co-ordinators to develop programmes of Postgraduate Education which match the identified needs of doctors working in General Practice in Wales.

Users of the appraisal site will have noticed gradual but significant changes in the structure and function of the website. We are pleased to announce the first in a planned series of improvements to the CPD area of the site the Resource Locator.
It is a collection of online educational resources that have been vetted by our team of CPD coordinators. Here you will find interactive educational modules, meetings and courses, short reviews of books and links to useful information sites. The resources have been catagorised into a hierarchy which will be mirrored as learning needs in an individuals PDP.
Why?
The prime reason for the locator is to point GPs in Wales toward the best education available. There is a secondary purpose in aiding the fulfillment of individual PDPs.
How do I use it?
There are two ways to search the Resource Locator. You can simply type in a search term into the search box (single terms are best) and resources matching this term will be displayed. You can use the hierarchy (the lists below the headings clinical and non clinical) you will notice that there is a + in front of the main headings and a number in brackets behind. Using the + you can list the sub categories on the main page, if you click the number in brackets you will be taken to that main headings page where there will be a listing of all the resources that are general to that main heading followed by the sub heading. Please play around with it and as always I am open to feedback and suggestions.
